Environmental Responsibility

 

Being environmentally responsible is part of our core philosophy.  From the entry-level employee all the way to management, we are encouraged to save energy and natural resources, both during our working day, and while developing our telecom platforms. 

 

We strive to design solutions that are inherently 'green'.  That translates into platforms that are multiservice and multi-functional, leading to space and power savings.  It means looking for innovative solutions to your common power problems, such as more effective fans and intelligent products.  It means thinking 'green' from the very beginning of any process, when our products and solutions are still in the development phase.  In fact, 1Net, which is ECI’s framework for addressing your strategic and day-to-day challenges, provides the most cost-effective and environmentally-safe propositions to help you migrate your networks to the next-generation while saving money and resources. In addition, ECI complies with the key international standards for environmental quality, such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directives. ECI is also a member of E-TASC (Electronics Tool for Accountable Supply Chain).  E-TASC is a web-based system set up for the exchange of information about social and environmental practices in the supply chain.

 

To design green products would mean little if ECI, as a corporate citizen, did not uphold the highest environmental and ethical standards as a company.  As employees, we are encouraged to engage in sustainable day-to-day practices and incorporate them seamlessly into our activities. We actively work towards reducing our carbon footprint and any damage we may inflict on our environment.   We look for creative ways to conserve water and we make extensive use of video conferencing activities to cut back on unnecessary air travel. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint, to reduce paper consumption, to recycle as much as necessary, and to save energy whenever possible.
