XDM-3000

Core MSPP and Cross Connect with Full LO Connectivity

The XDM-3000 is an MSPP platform that can be used as a Multi-ADM-16/64 and DXC with a capacity of 240 Gb.The platform offers a large fan-out with 24 slots for service cards and combines TDM and carrier class Ethernet services, utilizing existing infrastructure and supporting a smooth migration path to NGN networks.

The XDM-3000 has a built-in ASON capability and is the highest capacity MSPP platform with 100% LO (VC-12) connectivity. Adding the XDM-3000 to heavily populated sites relieves traffic bottlenecks on a per-site basis without introducing changes to the rest of the network. Its unique ability for full switching capability at the VC-12 level, together with its carrier class Ethernet MPLS capabilities, enables the expansion of data services with fine granularity over an SDH network; a functionality that operators find to be mature, reliable, and cost-effective in meeting their customers’ expectations.

XDM-3000 works in concert with the entire ECI portfolio to provide a complete solution tied together by ECI's 1Net architectural framework.

Features

  • Highest capacity MSPP with full LO (VC-12) connectivity for TDM and Ethernet services
  • Future-proof hybrid platform for data and TDM services supporting EoSDH and Ethernet MPLS
  • Massive traffic concentrator for heavily congested metro-core junctions
    Built-in ASON/GMPLS
  • Topology agnostic – enabling mesh, ring, multi-ring, star, and point-to-point topologies
  • Advanced Ethernet services - E-Line (point-to-point), E-LAN (multipoint-to-multipoint), E-Tree (rooted-multipoint)

Benefits

  • Enables network expansion on a per-site basis keeping the rest of the network unchanged
  • Offers converged support of both TDM and carrier class Ethernet services
  • Supplies carrier class protection, restoration, and resiliency
  • Provides full fine switching granularity (VC-12) supporting differentiated services with competitive pricing
  • Leverages existing SDH infrastructure to deliver new Ethernet-based services
  • Reduces the risks associated with rolling out new services
