A dependable, high-capacity (40 Gb), and miniature in size (2U) redundant ADM-64/MADM-16 Micro-MSPP, bringing 10 Gb to the access loop. With low-entry cost and build-as-you-grow® architecture, it is a perfect match for the cost-sensitive access and cellular backhaul markets. The BG-64 carries voice and data services over SDH, PDH, or Ethernet, enabling cost-effective support for mix of TDM and Ethernet based services, and a smooth migration path to NGN networks. The platform allows carriers to leverage their SDH installed base while offering a mix of PCM, PDH, and carrier-class data services, including Ethernet L1 and L2 and MPLS-based services.
Despite its miniature size, the BG-64 offers full redundancy and an optional expansion unit to support additional fan out or 1/0 cross-connect functionality. Designed for harsh environments, the BG-64 can be deployed in street cabinets and so enable traffic backhauling to start right at the output of IP-DSLAMs. The BG 64 is optimized as an access aggregation platform and as an MSAG (MultiService Aggregation Gateway) high-capacity CLE platform. It supports enhanced video handling and P2MP multicast tree connectivity, as well as star VPLS for IPTV and IGMP control messages. This enables highly efficient bandwidth savings for broadcast TV/IPTV services.
BG-64 works in concert with the entire ECI portfolio to provide a complete solution tied together by ECI's 1Net architectural framework.
