All-Native Multiservice Packet Optical Transport System

A compact carrier-class, All-Native multiservice packet-optical transport system, offering high-capacity, cost-effective aggregation and delivery of TDM and Ethernet/MPLS services

The XDM-900 is a compact, converged All-Native multiservice packet optical platform optimized for metro networks that offers unique convergence of SDH, carrier Ethernet, MPLS, and All-Range WDM OTN on a single topology-neutral platform. Supporting the full scale of services, including Ethernet/MPLS and TDM services accompanied with advanced WDM functionality, the XDM-900 is part of ECI’s 1Net framework addressing the day-to-day and strategic challenges you face when migrating from TDM to packet in high capacity metro sites.
The XDM-900 supports a broad range of applications, including wireless backhaul, carrier-of-carriers, MSOs, and residential triple play.

Versatile and comprehensive: Attractive combination of cost-effective and high
performance carrier-class Ethernet/MPLS, SDH and WDM OTN services
with a highly adaptable, build-as-you-grow architecture, allowing for fast and
cost-effective roll out of multiple services over multiple transport technologies
Simple and efficient day-to-day operations: Offering ECI’s Hybrid+, All-Native
approach  for native handling of both TDM and Ethernet, avoiding cumbersome
     and costly encapsulation schemes
High capacity: Helps you meet the growing demand for bandwidth and
     functionality in metro sites

Gradual and controlled transition: Pay-as-you-grow architecture allows you to get
control over the transition pace from TDM to packet and link your investments to actual
     need
Minimize total cost-of-ownership (TCO): Hybrid+, All-Native approach allows
leveraging past capex investments.  It shortens the learning curve for provisioning and
maintenance of new services and for the implementation of an Ethernet overlay from
the same network element servicing SONET/SDH
Carrier-class performance: Advanced, scalable optics able to handle multiservice,
Terabit+ traffic levels with superior resilience, protection and restoration
Reduced operational costs: With unrivalled integration (SDH/SONET, Ethernet, WDM
OTN), compact size, low power consumption, remote management and compatibility
     with other XDM I/O cards
Maintaining revenues flow: Enhanced service assurance with full redundancy and the
most advanced protection features for both SDH/SONET and data services, and
     ASON/GMPLS dynamic restoration schemes
Ethernet services: Native L1, L2, MPLS (E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree), Ethernet over
     SDH/SONET (EoS)
TDM services: Native PDH, SDH/SONET
Traffic handling: Full non-blocking LO/HO TDM matrix and full Ethernet/MPLS switches
Interfaces: E1, E3, STM-1/4/16/64, OTN G.709, FE, GE, 10GbE
